Author Lee Shackleford

LEE ERIC SHACKLEFORD is a writer for stage, screen, and radio with over 150 produced scripts to his credit. He is perhaps best-known for his play Holmes & Watson, which enjoyed a successful run off-Broadway with Shackleford in the role of Sherlock Holmes. His work for television has ranged from obscure documentaries to Star Trek: the Next Generation.
On radio, Lee was Head Writer and Producer for the entire run of the award-winning soap opera Bodylove and Head Writer for the soap opera series Keeping Up With the Walkers. As an assistant professor and Resident Playwright at his alma mater, the University of Alabama at Birmingham, Lee teaches writing for stage and screen, creates new works for the “Bookends” troupe which tours the entire region, and produces UAB’s annual Festival of Ten-Minute Plays.
